Turquoise Waters & A Rainbow: A Day Trip in Great Ocean Road

A week after we went to Grampians, my friends and I embarked to another road trip, this time to one of the world’s most scenic coastal drives. Similar to Grampians, it will be better to go there early in the morning if you are planning a one-day visit. However, the Great Ocean Road is also surrounded with beautiful towns where you can stay for a couple of nights. Since we all have our work the day after, we decided to stick to a day tour.

We left Melbourne around 10:00 AM and got there around 1:00 PM. As it was a smooth drive, it took us about three hours to get there. There are zigzag roads along the way so it is recommended to bring medicine for in case you get carsick.   True to its reputation, the Great Ocean Road is truly breathtaking! It was a perfect retreat for someone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

A Rugged Day in the Grampians

“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, there is a rapture on the lonely shore,

    George Gordon Byron

If you are looking for a quick escape from the bustling metropolitan of Melbourne, a day trip to Grampians will provide the much-needed getaway for you and your companions, may it be friends or family.

Sometimes, the fast pace of the city can cause stress and drain your energy. A retreat to nature will provide you relaxation without breaking the bank or taking too much of your time.  Besides, who does not love to sit down and just look at scenery below the mountain?

Australia in a Nutshell: Snippets from a Newbie

Seven months ago, I remember being cramped inside a train in Manila.  Noise, heat and discomfort  radiated in midst of the space crammed with people. Despite being squished and pushed around, my mind was in a different state, too caught up with the thought of moving. In a few days time, I was on my way to Australia or ‘Oz’.

Honestly, it is hard to describe Australia when you haven’t been here for too long. It is a huge country which  would need months or even years to see everything it has to offer. But there are always activities  to do for every type of person, whether you are in the cities or in towns.
